Perpetuum Jewels

We’re changing the way you source diamonds and gemstones

We are not your ordinary gems supplier...

Our diamonds and colored gemstones, either antique or contemporary in origin, are certified as post-consumer recycled by SCS Global Services, a US environmental standards and auditing firm.

Every certified post-consumer gemstone you source from us carries a unique ID number which corresponds to an entry in our database. You as Makers/designers as well as your clients, can verify their provenance and quality information on our database too. On single stones over a half a carat, this number may also be found laser inscribed onto the girdle as permitted by the gemstone..

VirtuGem

How our gemcutting contributes to SDG#1 No Poverty

Gemstones that are cut in their country of origin bring exponential value home to their source communities. Most gems are purchased rough then exported for cutting, our gems are cut in country. A faceted gem can fetch at least 5 times more money than a rough gem for the seller and miner.

We believe in the power of gemstone value addition. When you purchase gemstones from VirtuGem you are contributing to the employment of local women and men in Kenya, Malawi and Zambia. You receive an exquisite gemstone with a meaningful story at a fair price while you are contributing to changing the future of the gemstone value chain for the better.

Anza Gem

Moyo Gems

Moyo means 'heart' in Kiswahili. When you purchase a Moyo gem, you’re helping women artisanal gem miners (and their male allies!) in Tanzania and Kenya. We work to empower miners to work safely, improve financial security, and create stable, equitable markets for fair trade. A Moyo gem gives back a higher percentage of the sale than an ANZA gem, and this amount is re-invested into the Moyo Gems program to help run market days and support local community needs.

All our Moyo gems are traceable to the miner who we purchased it from and are cut either in the US by women faceters or by a group of five artisanal cutters in Chiang Mai, Thailand
