Sarah Holden

Studio Artist and Instructor | The Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center

Sarah Holden is a metalsmith, jeweler, sculptor and visual artist. Sarah received her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Crafts/Material Studies and Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University. Sarah has presented as a visiting artist at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, The University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, The University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and taught as a Metals Instructor at The Penland School of Crafts. Sarah’s work can be found in the permanent collections of the Mint Museum and the Racine Art Museum.  Sarah has been recently honored with an Illinois Arts Council Individual Artist Grant and a Society of North American Goldsmiths Professional Educational Endowment. Sarah’s sculpture and limited-production jewelry can be found in exhibitions and at galleries across the US.  Sarah currently lives in Chicago where she works as a studio artist, teaches steel fabrication, welding and metal forming at The Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center and is a mom to two wild young ladies.
